Drainage pipes sometimes get exposed as they run along the walls in a wardrobe while carrying effluent from utilities. There are different sizes of exposed drainage pipes depending on the use of the piping. For showers, bathtubs and wash hands basins, a two inch pipe is ideal and for lavatories four inch pipe can do.
Exposed drainage pipes in the wardrobe can be covered with a frame work of mild timber or steel. The timber should have a thickness of two inches and make sure you use steel nails to fix the timber to the concrete or wall. Inside the wardrobe, a box cover is formed and the two sides should be 90 degrees and fix a timber railing along the wall if the pipe is running vertically.
