There are things one can do to avoid being ripped off by painters and one of them is getting some estimates from different painters. By getting estimates, you are likely to come up with a fair price for the job to be done. Secondly, once you opt for a certain painter, make it clear to them that you plan to pay them once a week, for the work they’ve done.

Another thing one can do is to purchase supplies needed themselves. This may even mean asking the painters for a list of required supplies, for if you send them to shop, they may end up overcharging you. It is also good to have a deadline, which the painter will be penalized if they fail tot meet. Using penalties and bonuses is a sure way of having the painter deliver and do his best. Bonuses can have the painter hasten his pace so as to get it, while a penalty is a deterrent to make him work within the agreed deadline.
