Caulking a tub is easy and if you have the right tools, you can finish the job by yourself within a short time. The first thing that you need to do is to remove the old caulking. Make use of small tools that will help you scrap the caulk off. A chisel is ideal for removing large pieces of caulking at a time.

Once you have removed all the caulking, you should use a small sharp knife or a razor blade to completely remove any residual caulk from the tub. The next thing that you will need to do is apply fresh caulk to the places where you removed the old one. Use a caulking gun to apply the caulk. You should start caulking from down going up on a vertical direction.
