How to Cover Exposed Drainage Pipes in a Wardrobe Using Gypsum Boards

Drainage pipes sometimes get exposed as they run along the walls in a wardrobe while carrying effluent from utilities. The reason why they get exposed especially in the wardrobe is because a point of inspection is left on the wall in a wardrobe. This inspection point sometime gets exposed and need to be covered using gypsum.
There are different sizes of exposed drainage pipes depending on the use of the piping. For showers, bathtubs and wash hands basins, a two inch pipe is ideal and for lavatories four inch pipe can do.
Exposed drainage pipes in the wardrobe can be covered with a frame work of mild timber or steel. The timber should have a thickness of two inches and make sure you use steel nails to fix the timber to the concrete or wall. Inside the wardrobe, a box cover is formed and the two sides should be 90 degrees and fix a timber railing along the wall if the pipe is running vertically.
