Though having a leaky shower is not such a big problem, it can be quite a nuisance. If you have some basic plumbing knowledge, you can fix the problem yourself. Before you start fixing the shower, you must ensure that you turn off the main water supply. You should tighten the showerhead so that it does not fall off while you are fixing the leak. This should also fix any leakages from that point.

If the leakage is coming from the point where the shower is attached to the pipe, unscrew the shower and fix the pipe with pipe thread tape. The threads should be dry and free of any debris. You will need to tie some Teflon tape around the threads in a clockwise direction and then fix the showerhead back onto the pipe. Make sure it is tight enough. Turn on the water to check for any leaks.
