Upholstered furniture
You may have bought your furniture quite a few years ago. These may have begun to creak and become tasteless. You can add zing to them by upholstery.
Add a few webbings on your sofa and give them bounce by springing it well. Upholstering is quite often looked at as a specific skill which only specialised tradesmen are able to do. This is a myth which has been dissolved mostly through the access of information via the Internet. An antique sofa can be covered with new fabric, in a minimalist design to make it a unique piece of art. You may make your sofa more comfortable by adding layers of fabric or even giving that extra padding. Sofa or chaise chairs are anyway quite comfortable to start with.
Waterbeds have added another meaning to this form. You may also give foam pads to your bed or simple tuft coats. A few extra layers will only make your bed mushy. What more, it costs little extra.
Furniture made out of softwood is hard to be upholstered as they often collapse under the new weight. It is better to check tenacity of furniture legs and if possible, give it added weight. Upholstered furniture isn’t just cozy but good to look at too.
