Room walls and ceilings need to be cleaned regularly to keep the environment of the house clean and germ free. Being the exposed and undisturbed parts of the house, the ceiling and walls of the room tend to gather more dust and bacteria that the floor. The floor gets a wash or vacuum cleaning regularly but there is not much you can do with the roofs and walls. However they too need maintenance.

The rooms are for most part unreachable part of the house. Dusting will require devoting a considerable amount of time, energy and proper equipment. You cannot ever use the vacuum cleaner for the ceiling or the walls too except for the part that is near the ground. To keep the ceilings clean one can use sprays to kill germs and howsoever difficult devote means to touch every part of the house with a clean rag at least twice a month.
